Calling for materials relating to Takeshima

Our Takeshima Measures Office is currently conducting gathering and examination of materials of all kinds relating to Takeshima.
We want to transmit records and recollections about Oki Islands people's fishery activities in Takeshima to future generations. Accordingly, we would like you to let us have any information of the following kinds relating to Takeshima from circa 1870 to circa 1930:
○ Documents containing descriptions of Takeshima (such as diaries, reports, minutes of meetings).
○ Old maps in which Takeshima (or "Matsushima") is shown.
○ Picture-postcards or other pictures depicting Takeshima.
○ Photographs relating to Takeshima.
○ Information from people who used to do fishery operations in Takeshima.
To date, we have gathered sea charts used for voyaging to Takeshima and fishing equipment believed to have been used in Takeshima, as well as diaries and first-person accounts in which fishery activities in Takeshima appear.
